I have officially failed at Nano... well not quite yet, I have 2 days to write another 36000 words... yeah so not gonna make it... next year I hope to do better...

Plans for next year

• Create outline
• Set aside 3-4 hours daily to write.
• Disconnect from interwebs
• Type minimum of 2000 words a day

My cold from several weeks ago that never fully went away is back >_>

Probably wading in 6 inches of ice cold water trying to get the F-ing sump pump working again was what brought it on again...

WAY behind on Nano... when I get to school I will hole myself up in some corner and type type type... I got stuck on a section and I am just going to go back and rewrite it so Yaorlas doesn't look so much like a prostitute but more of just the man-whore he kinda is >_<
The way the scene is now he looks like he just screws random men in his office at the school.

oh well bed times now


sometimes tomorrow I will have another section of my nano up for reading.

Concert was AWESOME!

To all you parents of young teenagers ... especially young teenage daughters ... I have a question... Why the HELL would a mother bring her 13-15 year old daughter to a concert of a group KNOWN to have moshing and not expect the child to get hurt or her clothing damaged while watching the concert IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MOSHING? ... I want to punch that woman, she decided to push me causing all the people pressed up against me to go cascading the other direction ... >_>

Lucien enjoyed it, he came out with a messy wig, but not scratched or broken... poor little Shiwoo >_< Next time I think an MSD would be better then SD

I wanted to purchase the CD or DVD but OMG! they didnt take credit card... I guess I'll go get em online

On the way home, baby_bat_pro and I stopped at a bar, got dinner then ran into some other peoples that were at the concert waiting for the red line train. That was fun. They were all about 20-22, and heading to Union like me, so I parted ways with baby_bat_pro and led them to the station since they arent as familiar with downtown chicago as I am. One of them had to go to a different station, and he forgot his keys in the young lady's purse so the 3 of us who had to go to Union went romping across the Loop to give him the keys. ^_^ It was actually really fun

Got home at 1:40 stripped Lucien of his clothing >_< Popped his head of the body, gave the body a spoung bath and gave Silya his body back... plugged Squiggles in to charge then got ready for bed... went to play Left 4 Dead 2 and passed out before getting a chance...

SO Left 4 Dead 2 comes out in about 14 hours...

I did not get much done on my Nano this weekend, I set my goal at 15k got 300 done >_<

Dir en Gray is at 7 and I am trying to decide if I should bring Squiggles with me or leave him in my locker at school... I will decide that when it is time to go. Not like I will be able to do any Nano work at the concert... but if I leave it at school, the hour long train ride will be VERY unproductive...

Today's goal 5k by 5pm it is 1030 now... 450/5000

I am WAY far behind... at the time of this post I have 6609 words I should have 20,000 by the end of today

I figured it out that if during the week when I have school and the most homework, if I do 2000 a day and 10000 on on the weekends, I should be done by Thanksgiving ^_^

here is hoping

I wrote 1900 today already, only 100 more until I hit todays goal

So I was talking to my Story Telling Strategies teacher this morning. He is a professional novelist as are most of the other STS teachers. It was a fun class, but I may end up having to take it over again >_< ... I have to finish writing a short story for the class by monday and a couple of other things... [sigh]

Anyway my instructor, Paul McComas, doesnt like the idea of Nano. He believes that quality is better then quantity. I dont think he gets the whole idea of Nano...
Isn't nanowrimo's goal to get people who think they cannot write a novel to get off their duffs and put forth the effort to write one. Once one is done, the feeling of accomplishment is there and no matter how crappy it is. If someone who has never written a complete story in their life tries to write a perfect story they will never finish it.

I figure write crap, get it done, then completely rewrite it to make it good.

My story for anyone who is curious is the story of Yaorlas and Zagillion.

The characters are a couple that I made up back in 2007. Originally I created 3 characters only Yaorlas had a name for roughly 3 months then Zagillion got his name and the 3rd character vanished. At the beginning of summer the 3rd character came back about the same time that Akane became Yaorlas's youngest sister. Yes, Akane my doll. Singil got a name and then in August just before school started I started writing on a section of my story, it will be completely scrapped for nano but I think I will keep it because it makes a good side story.
The world this story takes place in is filled with Fairie-folk, basically think human sized Tinkerbelle. The various areas of the world have different physical attributes, and different dialects of the same language. The main story is the relationship between two men. we will see how it turns out....

Yaorlas is a powerful mage and is blonde with bright green eyes and very VERY feminine.
Zagillion is a fighter, his family is a mafia like organization, he like everyone from the Western Estates has Black hair and violet eyes.
Other characters are Singil, Sehibrar, Yalin, and Akane this list will increase as other characters gain names >_<


Current word count - 2281 / 8333
[sigh]

So I am 3 days in... well we alll are.. >_>

I have 1803 words as of yesterday, didnt work on it today, but chapter probably 7 or 8 is almost done... >_< I so write things WAY out of order


Oh well... no writing the rest of tonight... instead I have to do a 1500 word short story, a character bio, 7 location profiles, eavesdropping assignment >_< so not able to do that one and 2 other papers by 9 am tomorrow....

I am SO not getting sleep tonight
maybe tomorrow after class

At least I have the option of draft 2 of the 1500 word short being turned in monday

My Amber still hasnt told me her name yet, but she does have a VERY temporary faceup... almost what i want, but needs more definition and depth with more delicate lines... so no close up...

But ya... her basic style and coloring ...I am so glad she is finallyhome... now to get mervyn

I am planning on participating in Nanowrimo this year
I dont know how well I will do as this year is my first year to actually do it. Last year I remembered around the middle of November, so didn't do anything. This year I have school full time and homework the rest of the time so here is hoping >_<

One of the students dropped out today. He didn't have the money for school, his commute was too long and a few other reasons were given. I hope he can realize his dreams and get where he wants to go.

Over the weekend I came down with a mild cold. I think it has been building for a few weeks and this weekend with the cold just made it come on strong. I bought a box each of day and night medicine, that should help alot. They both have an extra dose of Vitamin C. I also got a bag of Coldeez, my favorite brand of lozenges. They are filled with Zinc so I will beat this cold into the ground between them and the cold meds.
I love Zinc, everyone says to go intake some Vit C, I say go get some Zinc cough drops and a bottle of OJ.

Also because my journal is open to the public, and I am sure kids will eventually find it, if they havent already.
I am blocking off a section that I will only let people who are fans of Yaoi/Slash to read. I am working on a story right now that will have plenty of that, in addition to other non-kid friendly topics.

Everytime I view any of the promotional videos for the school I am attending, I gain energy and excitement for my school work
